Association of angiotensin converting enzyme gene insertion/deletion polymorphism with lung cancer in turkey
2010, Cancer Genetics and CytogeneticsCitation Excerpt :The findings predict that plasma and tissue ACE levels within carriers of the DD genotype are about twofold higher compared to carriers of the II genotype, whereas the ID genotype indicates an intermediate level [10,12]. Serum ACE levels change in several diseases, such as sarcoidosis [14], asthma [15], silicosis [16], human immunodeficiency virus infection [17], and diabetic retinopathy [18]. Serum ACE levels were found to be decreased in patients with lung cancer [19–22].
