Undergraduate teaching of genetics

Abstract

The results of a survey of general practitioner opinion on the need for medical genetics in the undergraduate medical curriculum are presented. There was unanimous agreement that the subject should be taught and it is concluded that this should occur in both the clinical and pre-clinical years.
