Cathepsin D gene and the risk of Alzheimer's disease: A population-based study and meta-analysis
2011, Neurobiology of AgingCitation Excerpt :Finally, we performed a large meta-analysis pooling our data with previously published data. For this analysis, 26 studies reporting on the association of CTSD with AD in Caucasians were identified (Bagnoli et al., 2002; Bertram et al., 2001; Beyer et al., 2005; Bhojak et al., 2000; Blomqvist et al., 2006; Capurso et al., 2005, 2008; Corder et al., 2006; Crawford et al., 2000; Davidson et al., 2006; Emahazion et al., 2001; Ingegni et al., 2003; Kolsch et al., 2004; Mariani et al., 2006; Mateo et al., 2002; Matsui et al., 2001; McIlroy et al., 1999; Menzer et al., 2001; Papassotiropoulos et al., 1999, 2000a,b, 2002; Prince et al., 2001; Styczynska et al., 2003). Eight of these (Blomqvist et al., 2006; Capurso et al., 2005; Corder et al., 2006; Emahazion et al., 2001; Kolsch et al., 2004; Papassotiropoulos et al., 2000a, 2002; Prince et al., 2001) were not analyzed, because they overlapped with other published studies or sufficient data was not provided in the published paper.
