Hearing loss in syndromic craniosynostoses: Otologic manifestations and clinical findings
2014, International Journal of Pediatric OtorhinolaryngologyCitation Excerpt :The characteristic hearing loss in Muenke syndrome is sensorineural, mild to moderate in severity, and most profound at low frequencies. In fact, there have been reports of patients with sensorineural hearing loss in the absence of craniosynostosis [8]. Doherty et al., in an audiological study of 18 patients with Muenke syndrome found that 95% patients had a mild to moderate low frequency sensorineural hearing loss [9].
